GROUP PROJECTS
Participants in the Leadership Columbus signature program have benefited the community at large through the completion of small group projects executed during their ten month study program.
Designed as an opportunity for participants to further develop their leadership skills and practice some of the tools they learned at the Opening Retreat seminar, the group projects are the ideal laboratory for reality learning. Even as outcomes are highly important and have made significant impact in the community, the success of the projects is also measured by the experience of the “team process”. Through their work on project teams, participants are afforded the opportunity to explore group dynamics, leadership styles, consensus building, and project management skills necessary to professional careers as well as community service.
Group projects are where passion for issues and elbow grease result in tangible contributions to the community.
